How to Verify an Online Pharmacy for US Patients

State medical boards regulate physician licensure, while patients comparing an online pharmacy for US use should separately verify pharmacy credentials and prescription requirements. Licensed pharmacies should provide clear shipping fees and return policies, and prescription orders typically involve clinician review and pharmacist counseling. These checks support medication safety and help patients make informed choices.

  2. Physicians who are licensed in the USA who have a Hospital Action which is reported to the NPDB-HIPDB, may only apply to Florida through the IMLC Compact
  3. Physicians who are licensed in the USA and who have a State Medical Board action that was reported to the NPDB-HIPDB may not apply for a medical license in Florida

If you are not able to apply through the IMLC Compact and have a reported event with the NPDB-HIDPB, you will not be able to apply to the State of Florida for a Medical License.

If you have a pending application on file with the Florida Medical Board which was filed before this new law was put into effect 1/1/25, you will need to contact Wendy Als at the Florida Medical Board to withdraw your application (will not be a disciplinary action). You will receive a refund from the FL Medical Board.

If you do not withdraw your application you will be denied and reported to the FSMB Board Action System.

Recent Update (Effective July 1, 2025): Florida’s MOBILE law now allows boards to consider, at their discretion, past malpractice claims, hospital actions, or other adverse events if the conduct would not violate Florida law or rules. This means that physicians previously disqualified under the older “automatic bar” standard may now be eligible for MOBILE endorsement review — though approval is not guaranteed.
